Access & parking

Our proposals will be policy compliant in terms of cycle storage and car parking.

We will be providing secure cycle spaces for every residential unit, and visitors’ cycle parking will be scattered throughout the public realm, to encourage people to use healthier, more sustainable means of travel.

Access for all vehicles will be off Ballard Road, to the north:

  • A drop off location will be provided for the hotel which will exit back out onto Ballard Road
  • 270 parking spaces will be provided, all underground in a single level basement, accessed via a vehicle ramp. This will mean that none of our neighbours, apartment occupiers or hotel guests will look out over vast areas of parking; instead, all the spaces around and between the proposed blocks, will be landscaped and fully accessible to all.

Both the hotel and all residential blocks would be accessed directly from the car park, and all buildings would be accessible by foot from the street and podium levels. At ground and podium levels, the site is entirely publicly accessible, offering a permeable development, with routes connecting in all directions.
